Overview

Sometime in the 22nd century, humans have fully terraformed and colonized Venus and Mars. The Neosapiens, an artificially engineered race created to be slaves for the Terrans, have turned against their masters and formed the Neosapien Order/Empire/Commonwealth. Under the rule of the calculating Governor General Phaeton, the Neosapiens have launched an invasion of Earth and Venus. The ExoFleet, the Homeworlds' space navy (in particular, Able Squad, a group of Exo-Frame pilots led by Lieutenant J.T. Marsh), fight against the invasion in an interplanetary war to protect the Terrans.

Detailed Bias Analysis

Analyzing...
Center

Primary

The series maintains a neutral stance by balancing themes of liberation from oppression (Neosapien rebellion) with the defense of homeland and individual heroism (Terran resistance), ultimately championing a solution of coexistence and peace achieved through both military action and diplomacy, rather than promoting a single partisan ideology.

The animated series features a visibly diverse main cast, reflecting a futuristic world with varied human characters. The narrative primarily focuses on a conflict for survival, portraying its protagonists, including traditional identities, in a neutral to positive light without explicit critique or central DEI themes.

Secondary

Exosquad, an animated sci-fi action series, does not include any identifiable LGBTQ+ characters or themes. The show's narrative is centered on a war between humanity and the Neosaurs, with character development and relationships primarily exploring heterosexual dynamics or platonic bonds within a military context.

The show primarily features combat conducted using advanced exo-suits and their weaponry. While female characters are active and capable soldiers, their victories against male opponents are achieved through piloting skill and technological superiority, not direct physical combat.

Exosquad (1993) is an original animated series, not an adaptation or reboot. Its characters were created for this specific show, meaning there are no pre-existing canonical genders from prior source material or installments to be swapped.

Exosquad is an original animated series from 1993. Its characters were created for this specific show and do not have prior canonical or historical racial depictions to be compared against for a race swap.
