A Woman with No Filter poster

Overview

Surrounded by a lazy husband, a pedantic stepson, a sexist boss, a self-centered friend, and a neighbor who ruins her sleep with frequent parties, Bia must exert enormous energy to maintain control. But the arrival of a young influencer who takes a higher position than her at the magazine where she works is the final straw. On the verge of a breakdown, Bia ends up being treated by Deusa Xana in a kind of esoteric session. As a result, she frees herself from all filters and begins to practice zero tolerance for all the absurdities that affect her daily life.

Detailed Bias Analysis

Analyzing...
Progressive

Primary

The film's central thesis explicitly promotes progressive feminist ideology by critiquing sexism and advocating for women's empowerment and social justice through personal transformation.

The movie demonstrates significant DEI by centering on a female protagonist who explicitly challenges workplace sexism and traditional gender norms. While its primary focus is on gender equity, the film does not explicitly explore other dimensions of diversity such as race, ethnicity, or LGBTQ+ issues.

Secondary

Uma Mulher Sem Filtro focuses on a woman confronting sexism and daily absurdities. The film's narrative and character focus are primarily on gender dynamics and personal empowerment, with no explicit mention or depiction of LGBTQ+ characters or themes. Therefore, the movie does not portray the LGBTQ+ community.

Based on the provided information, there are no details available regarding the depiction of transsexual characters or themes in 'Uma Mulher Sem Filtro' (2025). Therefore, an evaluation of its portrayal or net impact is not possible.

The movie does not contain any action or adventure elements.

The film adapts a story with a male protagonist to a female lead, Bia. This is presented as a thematic and narrative choice for a 'female version' of the story, not a gender-swapped portrayal of any specific character from the original source material.

The film is a Brazilian remake of a Chilean film, transposing the story to a modern Brazilian urban setting. The casting reflects Brazil's contemporary ethnic diversity, not an attempt to replicate or alter the race of specific characters from the original Chilean context. The characters' racial identities are authentic to the new setting, thus not constituting a race swap.
