Detailed Bias Analysis

Leans Progressive

Primary

Marvel's Agent Carter is rated -1 (Left-Leaning) due to its central focus on Peggy Carter's struggle against pervasive sexism and patriarchal norms within a post-WWII intelligence agency, championing female empowerment and individual resilience against systemic barriers.

The series features a largely traditional main cast, consistent with its period setting. However, its narrative strongly emphasizes and critiques the gender discrimination faced by its female protagonist within a male-dominated professional environment, making this struggle a central theme.

Secondary

Marvel's Agent Carter does not include any explicit LGBTQ+ characters or themes. The narrative focuses on Peggy Carter's post-WWII espionage, with no identifiable queer representation present in the show's canon.

Marvel's Agent Carter does not feature any identifiable transsexual characters or themes. Consequently, there is no portrayal to evaluate regarding transsexual identity within the series' narrative or character arcs.

The movie does not contain any action or adventure elements.

The show primarily features original characters or faithfully adapts existing Marvel characters and historical figures, maintaining their established genders. No instances of a character canonically established as one gender being portrayed as a different gender were identified.

All major characters with established racial identities from Marvel Comics or prior MCU installments are portrayed by actors of the same race. The series primarily features original characters or maintains the race of existing ones.
