Primary

The film's central conflict revolves around personal revenge and the world of professional assassins, which are largely apolitical action-thriller tropes. Its solution, individual retribution, does not explicitly promote or critique specific political ideologies, leading to a neutral rating.

The movie demonstrates significant DEI through its casting, particularly with a non-white female lead in a central action role, which represents a departure from traditional casting norms. However, the narrative itself does not explicitly critique traditional identities or center on DEI themes, maintaining a neutral framing in its portrayal of characters.

Secondary

The film features Anna, a highly skilled assassin, who repeatedly engages in and wins close-quarters physical combat against multiple male opponents. She utilizes martial arts, hand-to-hand techniques, and melee weapons to achieve these victories.

The film "The Protégé" does not feature any identifiable LGBTQ+ characters or themes within its narrative. The story focuses on heterosexual relationships and action-thriller elements, with no explicit representation of queer identities or experiences.

The film "The Protégé" does not feature any transsexual characters or explore themes related to trans identity. Its plot focuses on an assassin seeking revenge, with no elements pertaining to transgender experiences or representation. Therefore, the film has no impact, positive or negative, on the portrayal of transsexual individuals.
