The narrative links their cruelty and fanaticism to their interpretation of faith, presenting it as a destructive force without significant counterbalancing nuance.

The film 'American Gothic' does not include any discernible LGBTQ+ characters or themes. Its narrative is solely centered on a horror scenario involving stranded visitors and a reclusive, menacing family, with no elements related to queer identity.
