Detailed Bias Analysis

Analyzing...
Leans Progressive

Primary

The film's core conflict centers on a hearing teenager's struggle between supporting her deaf family and pursuing her singing talent, emphasizing balance and empathy without advancing partisan views. Disability inclusion shapes the narrative but remains focused on universal family dynamics rather than ideological critique.

Authentic casting of deaf actors in lead family roles underscores disability representation. The narrative affirms cross-disability family bonds and individual aspirations positively, integrating inclusion themes without opposing traditional identities.

Secondary

The remake of La Famille Bélier portrays the music teacher as female, unlike the male character in the original film.

The narrative portrays a tight-knit deaf family as loving yet overly dependent on their hearing daughter, framing her obligations as a barrier to personal growth. This endorsement of individual independence over familial duty drives a progressive leaning in family values depiction.

The film contains no identifiable LGBTQ+ characters or themes.

Feel My Voice offers no depiction of transsexual characters or themes. The narrative centers on a hearing teenager in a deaf family pursuing her singing passion, highlighting CODA experiences without any transgender-related content.

The movie does not contain any action or adventure elements.

Feel My Voice is an Italian remake of the 2014 French film La Famille Bélier. Major characters, originally white French, are played by white Italian actors, preserving the established racial depictions without swaps.
