Primary

The film is a character study focused on the personal struggles of an aging professional wrestler, exploring universal themes of identity, purpose, and human connection. It remains neutral by presenting a deeply personal narrative without explicitly promoting or critiquing political ideologies or offering systemic solutions.

The movie features traditional casting without intentional race or gender swaps of roles. Its narrative focuses on the personal struggles of its main character, an aging white male wrestler, without explicitly critiquing traditional identities or centering strong DEI themes.

Secondary

The narrative does not offer a counter-perspective or critique of this reaction, resulting in a problematic portrayal that reinforces negative perceptions rather than affirming transsexual lives.

The film portrays Christianity through Randy's daughter, Stephanie, who finds community and moral grounding in her faith. The church setting is presented as a place of potential reconciliation and forgiveness, without any negative critique of the religion itself.
