Detailed Bias Analysis

Analyzing...
Center

Primary

The series focuses on universal themes of heroism, friendship, and the responsible use of science and technology, without explicitly promoting or critiquing specific political ideologies from either the left or the right.

The series features a visibly diverse main cast, consistent with the original franchise's character designs. Its narrative focuses on superhero adventures and positive themes, without explicitly critiquing traditional identities or centering the plot around DEI themes.

Secondary

The series features a very brief, incidental mention of a same-sex marriage by a minor character, Dr. Lily, who refers to her wife. This portrayal is not central to the plot or character development and neither uplifts nor denigrates LGBTQ+ identity, resulting in a neutral net impact.

The series features Go Go Tomago, a member of Big Hero 6, who frequently engages in and wins direct physical fights against multiple male opponents. She utilizes her speed, agility, and discs as melee weapons to incapacitate adversaries.

Big Hero 6 The Series does not feature any identifiable transsexual characters or themes within its narrative. The show's storylines focus on superhero adventures and character development without exploring gender identity in this specific context.

The series continues the narrative and characters from the "Big Hero 6" film, which itself is based on Marvel Comics. All main characters retain their established genders from the source material and prior adaptations.

The animated series is a direct continuation of the 2014 film. All main characters retain the same racial depictions established in the original movie, with no changes to their race.
