Center

Primary

The series focuses on apolitical themes of friendship, teamwork, and responsible use of power within a fantasy context, without promoting specific political ideologies or engaging in societal critiques.

The movie features a visibly diverse main cast, including characters of different racial backgrounds, without explicitly recasting traditionally white roles. Its narrative maintains a neutral and positive framing of traditional identities, with no explicit DEI themes central to the story.

Secondary

The show "Just Add Magic" does not feature any identifiable LGBTQ+ characters or themes. Its narrative centers on a group of friends discovering magical recipes and solving mysteries, with no explicit representation of queer identities or experiences.

The series "Just Add Magic" does not feature any identifiable transsexual characters or themes. Its narrative focuses on a magical cookbook and the adventures of three friends, without incorporating LGBTQ+ specific storylines or representations.

The movie does not contain any action or adventure elements.

The series "Just Add Magic" is an adaptation of a novel. A review of the main characters from the source material and their on-screen portrayals reveals no instances where a character's established gender was changed for the show.

The show is the primary adaptation of its source novel, which does not explicitly establish the race of its main characters. Therefore, the casting choices for the series do not constitute a race swap from a previously established canonical or widely recognized racial identity.
