Oggy and the Cockroaches (1999)

Overview

Oggy, an anthropomorphic cat, would prefer to spend his days watching television and eating, but is continuously pestered by three roaches: Joey, Marky and Dee Dee. The cockroaches' slapstick mischief ranges from plundering Oggy's refrigerator to hijacking the train he just boarded. In many situations Oggy is also helped by Jack, who is more violent and short-tempered than him and is also annoyed by the cockroaches. Bob, a short-tempered bulldog, also appears in the show, and is Oggy's neighbor.

Primary

The film's central subject matter is purely slapstick comedy, focusing on the perpetual, apolitical conflict between a cat and cockroaches, thus lacking any discernible political themes or ideological solutions.

This animated series features anthropomorphic animal characters, which means the concepts of traditional casting or race/gender swaps do not apply. The narrative is a slapstick comedy without any explicit DEI themes or critiques of traditional identities.

Secondary

The show 'Oggy and the Cockroaches' is a non-dialogue, slapstick animated comedy centered on the antics of a cat and cockroaches. It does not feature any identifiable LGBTQ+ characters, themes, or narratives, resulting in no portrayal to evaluate.

The animated series 'Oggy and the Cockroaches' does not feature any identifiable transsexual characters or themes. Its narrative is centered on visual gags and slapstick humor involving animal characters, thus rendering the concept of transsexual portrayal inapplicable to its content.

The movie does not contain any action or adventure elements.

The characters in "Oggy and the Cockroaches" were original creations for the animated series. There is no prior source material or historical record where these characters were established with a different gender than their on-screen portrayal.
