Overview

Accident Man follows Mike Fallon, a hitman who stages kills as accidents, until the murder of someone close to him sends him hunting through his own criminal circle. The movie is a pulpy, R-rated action comedy adapted from a British comic series. Its Leans Progressive label is driven mainly by casting choices that update the source material: two male assassins from the comics are played by women, and one originally white character is played by a Black actor. The film does not push political or social messaging in any overt way. The changes are quiet rather than declarative, but they are consistent enough across the ensemble to nudge the needle leftward.
