Primary

The film explores the profound human cost and moral ambiguities of war, presenting a conflict where both factions exhibit complex motivations and flaws. It emphasizes the potential for human evolution and empathy as a means to transcend cycles of violence, offering a humanist perspective on conflict rather than endorsing a specific political ideology.

Its narrative focuses on universal themes of conflict and human behavior, subtly examining power dynamics rather than explicitly critiquing traditional identities.

Secondary

No identifiable transsexual characters or themes are present within the story, as the plot primarily follows the protagonist Amuro Ray's journey as a pilot and his interactions with the military conflict.
