Detailed Bias Analysis

Analyzing...
Leans Progressive

Primary

The film's dominant themes align with progressive values by critiquing an oppressive, patriarchal regime and highlighting the devastating impact of war on civilians, particularly a woman's struggle for agency and freedom.

This film features a diverse, non-Western cast that authentically reflects its Iranian setting. The narrative subtly explores themes of female autonomy and societal restrictions within a patriarchal culture, without explicitly framing traditional identities negatively.

Secondary

The film portrays the institutional enforcement of Islamic law by the state (e.g., morality police) as oppressive and restrictive, particularly towards women. The narrative aligns with the protagonist's struggle against these authoritarian controls, depicting them as a source of fear and vulnerability that exacerbates the supernatural horror.

Under the Shadow is a horror film centered on a mother and daughter's experiences during wartime in Tehran. The narrative explores themes of war trauma, gender roles, and supernatural dread. There are no identifiable LGBTQ+ characters or themes present in the film's storyline.

The film 'Under the Shadow' does not feature any identifiable transsexual characters or themes. Its narrative is centered on a mother and daughter's experiences during wartime, dealing with supernatural elements and societal pressures, without engaging with transgender identity.

The movie does not contain any action or adventure elements.

Under the Shadow is an original horror film with no established source material, prior adaptations, or historical figures. All characters are new creations for this specific film, thus precluding any gender swaps.

Under the Shadow is an original film, not an adaptation, biopic, or reboot. Its characters were created for this specific production, meaning there is no prior canonical or historically established race for them to be swapped from.
