Detailed Bias Analysis

Analyzing...
Center

Primary

The film is a standard espionage thriller focused on preventing a biological attack and uncovering a mole within intelligence agencies. While it features themes of government corruption, these are presented as individual betrayals rather than a systemic critique, leading to a neutral political stance.

The movie features a predominantly white main cast in roles that do not appear to be intentionally race or gender-swapped. The narrative, typical of a spy thriller, does not explicitly critique traditional identities or center on DEI themes.

Secondary

The film features Alice Racine, a former CIA interrogator, who engages in and wins multiple close-quarters physical confrontations against male opponents, utilizing both hand-to-hand combat and melee weapons.

The film depicts a terrorist cell, implicitly linked to radical Islamic extremism, as the primary antagonists. Their actions are portrayed as cruel and hateful, and the narrative offers no counterbalancing positive portrayal or nuance regarding Islam itself, thus reinforcing a negative association through its extremist adherents.

The film 'Unlocked' is a spy thriller that does not feature any discernible LGBTQ+ characters or themes within its plot. Therefore, there is no portrayal to evaluate regarding LGBTQ+ representation.

The film 'Unlocked' does not feature any identifiable transsexual characters or themes within its narrative. Consequently, there is no portrayal to assess regarding transsexual identity or related story elements.
