The Detectives is an American crime drama series which ran on ABC during its first two seasons, and on NBC during its third and final season. The series, starring motion picture star Robert Taylor, was produced by Four Star Television. Detailed Bias Analysis

Analyzing...
Traditional

Primary

The film leans right by consistently emphasizing the importance of law and order and portraying police officers as dedicated heroes, aligning with a conservative 'law and order' perspective on crime and justice.

The series features traditional casting, predominantly white and male, consistent with its era. The narrative maintains a neutral to positive portrayal of traditional identities, focusing on law enforcement without explicit DEI themes or critiques.

Secondary

The series, typical of its 1950s era, implicitly portrays characters whose moral integrity and actions are aligned with Christian virtues. The narrative respectfully presents the faith as a dignified moral framework for good individuals, even if not a central theme.

The Detectives, a police procedural from the late 1950s, does not feature any identifiable LGBTQ+ characters or themes. The narrative focuses on crime-solving without exploring queer identities or experiences, aligning with typical television content of its era.

The series 'The Detectives' (1959) does not feature any identifiable transsexual characters or themes within its narrative. Consequently, there is no portrayal to evaluate, resulting in a net impact rating of N/A.

Based on the typical narrative conventions of a 1950s police procedural, female characters in 'The Detectives' are not depicted engaging in or winning close-quarters physical combat against male opponents. Their roles generally do not involve direct action sequences of this nature.

The Detectives (1959) was an original television series. Its characters were created for the show and did not originate from prior source material or historical records, thus precluding any gender swaps.

As an original television series from 1959, "The Detectives" introduced its own characters without prior canonical or historical depictions. Therefore, no character could have been race-swapped from a pre-existing source.
