Primary

ThunderCats Roar is a children's animated comedy primarily focused on humor, character dynamics, and classic good-vs-evil narratives, with no discernible explicit or implicit political agenda. Its core conflicts and solutions are apolitical, centering on comedic obstacles and teamwork.

ThunderCats Roar features an anthropomorphic cast with diverse voice actors, but without explicit racial or gender recasting of traditionally white human roles. The narrative focuses on comedy and adventure, maintaining a neutral or positive framing of traditional identities rather than engaging in explicit social critique.

Secondary

ThunderCats Roar includes a non-binary character, the 'Non-Binary Thunderian,' who uses they/them pronouns. Their identity is explicitly stated and depicted respectfully by other characters, contributing to an affirming portrayal of LGBTQ+ identity within the show.

The show features Cheetara, a female Thunderian, who regularly uses her staff and enhanced speed in physical combat against male villains. She is consistently shown to be victorious in these close-quarters engagements, defeating multiple male opponents through her martial prowess.

ThunderCats Roar does not include any identifiable transsexual characters or themes. Consequently, there is no portrayal to evaluate regarding transsexual identity, leading to a determination of N/A for its net impact.

The animated series "ThunderCats Roar" maintains the established genders of its core characters from the original "ThunderCats" series. No legacy characters were portrayed with a different gender.

ThunderCats Roar features anthropomorphic characters whose visual designs and voice casting generally align with their established portrayals in previous iterations. No character canonically or widely established as one human-equivalent race is depicted as a different race.
