Center

Primary

The film's central conflict is a universal good-vs-evil struggle against an extremist antagonist, and the protagonist's journey emphasizes personal growth and the power of love, making its core themes largely apolitical.

The movie features visible diversity in its cast, consistent with its original Japanese source material, without engaging in explicit race or gender swaps of traditionally white roles. Its narrative focuses on its supernatural themes and character development, and does not include critical portrayals of traditional identities or strong, explicit DEI critiques.

Secondary

The film features Maki Zenin, a skilled jujutsu sorcerer, who engages in and wins a physical sparring match against a male opponent, Yuta Okkotsu, using melee weapons and martial arts.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 does not feature any identifiable LGBTQ+ characters or themes. The central romantic relationship is heterosexual, and the broader narrative focuses on action and character development without exploring queer identities or experiences.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 does not feature any identifiable transsexual characters or explore themes related to transsexual identity. The story is centered on supernatural battles and character development within the Jujutsu world, rendering the category N/A for this film.

The film is a direct adaptation of the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 manga. All main and supporting characters, including Yuta Okkotsu, Rika Orimoto, and Satoru Gojo, retain their established genders from the source material without any changes.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is an animated film adaptation of a Japanese manga.
